Sage was picked to participate in her schools spelling bee, last Friday. They picked the top 3 spellers in her class and then they competed against the other top spellers in 3rd through 6th grade. When Jared got home from work, Sage was all excited and asked him if he knew who won the spelling bee. Jared's enthusiastic reply was "YOU"! To which she answered, "no, but a kid in my class did". Congratulations to the kid in Sage's class and we are taking the stance that it was an honor to be picked.
I am not making excuses but we did only practice the night before because the note came home the same day that a big animal report was assigned and a biography report. She lasted until the 3rd round (double elimination :-) Congrats Sage!
