I know these are late, but I couldn't get them to load after several tries the day I posted it and several days after. I wanted Josh to have his complete b-day post, so here it is. Isn't he cute :)

Today Joshua turned 7. I can't believe how fast time has gone by. We are so lucky to have him in our family. He gets along (most of the time) with both of his sisters, he loves his brother to pieces, and he still thinks his mom and dad are okay. Joshua likes to be outside on his scooter. He got it for his birthday last year but didn't really ride it until this summer. He has to build up the courage to do things that he views as too hard and once he does he loves it and you can't get him to stop. He did the same thing with his bike. He kept saying that his peddles were too hard and they did stick so we got a different bike but then he wouldn't try to learn how to ride it without training wheels. All the sudden one day he just decided to and took off like he had been riding like that forever.
Jared is successfully brainwashing Josh to thinking that BYU is the best team ever and he loves to go to games and wants to watch it with Jared on t.v. when it is not his turn to go to an actual game. Josh likes to go on the 4 wheeler, play video games, watch t.v. and play with his friends but he is also very content playing by himself and doesn't need to be entertained.
He is doing really well in school. This year he was put in the Chinese Immersion program so half of his studies are taught in Chinese. He gets a little annoyed when people start bugging him to speak but if you catch him one on one and show some sincere interest he is more than willing to share. He will even write it for you :) This last year has been a big change from Kindergarten to 1st grade but he has loved it and the full days haven't seemed to bother him at all.
We are so proud of Joshua and continue to watch him grow and try new things. Happy Birthday Joshy, we love you!

Hi Bridget, The poem I am looking for is just a few lines about "Kristen's Light" When she received gifts at the hospital sometimes there was a little note about the child who was donating the gift. Once inside a build a bear there was a note from a little boy that reminded the children to "Never Give Up"
About our build a bear project...Last year We met at a Build a Bear store, Whoever wanted to come, I posted it on my blog and also on my facebook, Everyone made a bear of their choosing and donated it. It was fun, some made a fancy bear with clothes and some made an inexpensive 13.00 bear with a simple bow around his neck. Both were perfect. I then loaded up my truck and took them to the hospital. Some people who couldn't come to the store dropped a bear off at my house. There are 24 beds in the cancer unit so that was our goal. We plan to do the same thing this year a few weeks before Christmas.
He is such a cute boy.. I hope that he had a happy happy birthday. Sounds like such a super smart kid, it looks like you and Jared are for sure proud parents of a great young man..
