End of the school year

The end of the school year is always packed with programs, and activities and this year was no exception.

Joshua had a trip to the zoo. Jared took the day off because Joshua had picked him to be one of the parent volunteers but the night before he changed it to me. Joshua had his first school bus ride and was very excited.




Another thing he looked forward to was a eating school lunch. One day the school had the kids practice eating lunch in the cafeteria. They could either buy a school lunch or bring their own and they sat at a lunch table and the lunch lady explained how you come and go from the cafeteria. The kids thought they were so big eating in the cafeteria.


Joshua's Kindergarten class had a end of the year program that highlighted each student and then they sang some songs. His teacher had a cute DVD with pictures from the year and we watched it and each kid was able to take one home with a binder that was put together with some of their school work. Joshua had such a fun teacher and she planned such cute things for the kids all year.

Bailee had her preschool graduation. The pictures for this are on our camcorder and I am not sure how to get them off so we will probably not see those on here. They sang songs for the parents and each kid received their "diploma". They also did a DVD slide show and each child was able to take one home. We watched it twice at home that night. Her preschool is just down the street from our house and the teachers do such a wonderful job. They went on several field trips this year and had a magic show, puppet show, and pony rides at the preschool. She loved it!

Sage had a D.A.R.E. graduation and was even picked as one of the essay winners but since I let her go to Lagoon with a friend that day they picked someone else. Oh well, her reward was going to Lagoon and we know that she did a great job. They had field day and it was a "Survivor" theme. She worked on her class flag with a couple of other girls. She also had her state report due and they had to make a float representing their state. The float turned out great and we went to the school to watch the parade followed by a Young American assembly, where they sang various patriotic songs.




We are excited for summer, even though it is only a few weeks before school starts again.
